Founded in 2016, Syssero is a boutique technology consulting firm that specializes in the Workday ecosystem. Headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Syssero distinguishes itself as the only employee-owned Workday firm in the industry, giving its consultants a personal stake in every client’s success. The company’s mission, “Advance the solution. Empower your people,” reflects its commitment to both technology and the human side of organizational success. Syssero’s approach is grounded in three core pillars: clients, culture, and community, emphasizing that technology is only as effective as the people who use and support it.
Syssero’s vision is to set the standard of empowerment within the Workday ecosystem and to become the first choice for clients and talent alike. Integrity, trust, and sustainable business practices form the foundation of its operations, while diversity and collaboration drive innovation. The firm believes that strength emerges from varied perspectives and backgrounds, and it cultivates a workplace where psychological safety and equity are prioritized. This dedication to culture has not gone unnoticed; in 2023, Syssero was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the Best Workplaces, a reflection of its highly engaged and satisfied workforce.
The company is led by founder and CEO Amber Lowry, alongside Co-CEO Ryan Massie. Their leadership team is composed of individuals with deep Workday expertise, many of whom have risen through Syssero or its sister companies. This model underscores the firm’s philosophy of empowering people at every level, ensuring that leadership decisions are informed by practical, on-the-ground experience.
Syssero differentiates itself through several key factors. Its employee-owned model ensures that the success of the firm is directly tied to client outcomes, fostering a deep sense of accountability and commitment. The consultants bring an average of seven years of Workday experience, and the majority are former Workday end-users, providing a unique perspective that blends practical insight with technical knowledge. The firm has successfully worked across more than fifty industries globally, giving it a breadth of experience that allows it to adapt solutions to diverse organizational challenges.
Syssero offers a comprehensive suite of Workday-focused services. Its implementation program, known as LEAP, guides clients through critical phases such as design, testing, go-live, and stabilization for both Human Capital Management (HCM) and financial deployments. For organizations in need of flexible support, Syssero’s Ally Model provides staff augmentation, enabling companies to tap into experienced consultants for temporary advisory work or targeted project activation. Beyond project-based engagements, Syssero offers long-term managed services, acting as an extension of a client’s internal Workday team to maintain, optimize, and continuously improve system performance. The company also supports clients in building their Workday talent pipeline by sourcing, vetting, and placing specialists in permanent roles, while extending its expertise to Workday Financial Management to streamline financial operations and reporting.
In addition to consulting, Syssero engages in product innovation through its sister company, Systics. One notable example is SyncStream, a Workday-native application designed to simplify data migration during mergers, acquisitions, or organizational restructuring. SyncStream integrates seamlessly within a Workday tenant, automates approval workflows, and validates data, reducing manual errors and improving operational efficiency. This capability to both consult and build integrated solutions strengthens Syssero’s position as both a service provider and innovator within the Workday ecosystem.
Syssero’s strategic alignment with Workday has further reinforced its market position. In November 2024, the firm became a Workday Services Partner, gaining access to additional resources, tools, and certifications. This partnership underscores Syssero’s commitment to delivering high-quality, tailored solutions and enhances its ability to support clients throughout the Workday lifecycle.
The firm has a strong record of delivering measurable results for clients. For Invitation Homes, Syssero stabilized their Workday environment through managed services, including dashboards, integrations, and ongoing advisory support, enabling the company to scale without losing system efficiency. In another engagement with Marigold Marketing, Syssero assisted with a post-merger Workday rollout, reducing hiring timelines by approximately 30 percent while strengthening internal Workday capabilities.
For Toot’n Totum, a regional retail chain, Syssero provided critical guidance during Workday implementation, from design decisions to integration troubleshooting, ensuring the project was delivered on time and within scope. The company also publishes solution briefings to help organizations align strategic objectives with employee performance, demonstrating its commitment to knowledge-sharing and thought leadership.
Recognition for Syssero extends beyond client results. Its employee-owned culture fosters empowerment, collaboration, and ownership, making it a workplace that values both professional and personal growth. These values are reinforced through programs that support internal development, mentorship, and continuous learning. The firm’s culture and operational philosophy reflect its belief that the most successful technology implementations come from organizations that prioritize people as much as processes and systems.
Looking to the future, Syssero continues to expand its capabilities and influence within the Workday ecosystem. Participation in events such as Workday Rising allows the firm to showcase its innovations and deepen relationships with clients and partners. The ongoing collaboration with Systics and the development of Workday-native applications further positions Syssero as both a trusted consultant and a creator of solutions that enhance the functionality and value of Workday for its clients.
At its essence, Syssero is a people-first, innovation-driven, employee-owned firm that combines deep technical expertise with a strong ethical foundation. Its commitment to empowering clients, fostering a collaborative culture, and building innovative solutions positions it as a trusted partner for organizations seeking to maximize the value of Workday. Through its unique combination of consulting excellence, product development, and employee ownership, Syssero continues to advance the solution while empowering the people who make it work.
